Janice Parker, Award-winning Executive Assistant and Public Speaker will visit us and speak about her career and accomplishments as an ambassador for our profession. She currently works at WorldRemit in London, UK
Janice Parker joined WorldRemit in September 2017 as Executive Assistant to the CEO, having previously supported senior executives at Executive Search firm Odgers Berndtson as well as American IT organisations DST Business Process Solutions in London and McAfee (Intel Security) in Melbourne.
Originally from Melbourne in Australia, Janice relocated to London in mid-2014. Her passion to network with like-minded assistants led to her joining IMA UK (formerly known as EUMA) as a member then subsequently became part of the Committee from September 2015 - 2016 as the Website and Social Media Coordinator as well as assisting the National Public Relations Officer.
Being an Executive Assistant is a career choice that Janice is very passionate about and aims to be an ambassador for the administrative profession; in November 2016 she won the SecsintheCity Social Networking PA of the Year award. Janice has publicly spoken at several EA/PA events in the UK such as being a panelist at the London office* show as well as featuring in industry publications; Eventopedia's Proud PA blog, Exceptional EA Real Careers & Digital Disruption blogs, The Assistant Room PA Diaries, and was part of the 2015 Avery & Executive Secretary video series to support the #PAPromises campaign.
